租車資格與要求

The mountain law requires drivers to equip their vehicles with anti-slip devices (tyres or snow chains or snow socks) in 34 departments between 15 November and 31 March.

Failure to comply with this requirement may result in a fine, additional costs or even immobilization of the vehicle (for which the driver is liable).

Fully equipped vehicles

(S) Ford Fiesta or similar - snow or all-season tyres

(J) Peugeot 2008 or similar - snow or all-season tyres

(R) Jeep Compass or similar - snow or all-season tyres

Snow equipment is available in participating Hertz locations in mainland France:

Participating locations: Aix les bains*, Annecy (city and airport)* , Aurillac*, Briancon*, Chambery (city and airport)*, Clermont-Ferrand, Cluses*, Colmar, Digne les Bains*, Epinal-Golbey, Entzheim, Foix, Geneve Cointrin, Grenoble, Lyon aeroport, Lyon gare Perrache , Lyon gare Part Dieu, Manosque*, Metz, Mulhouse, Moutiers, Mulhouse/St Louis, Nancy, Nice airport, Pau, Seynod, Seyssins, Strasbourg (gare et aeroport), Tarbes , Villeurbanne. *franchisees

Returns to another location are not permitted for the following car groups, (S) Ford Fiesta or similar, (J) Peugeot 2008 or similar and (R) Jeep Compass or similar. Failure to do so will result in a penalty of €600 (inc. VAT).

Please note if anti-slip equipment (chains or socks) is lost or damaged, an additional charge of €144 including VAT will be made.
