One of the most well-known and visited cities in the world, Amsterdam boasts 17th century architecture in the tall merchants’ houses that line its many canals, a huge number of museums and art galleries and many excellent markets too. Recently completely renovated, you’ll find Rembrandt’s famous "Night Watch" in among the other beautiful works. Travelling round the city is also easy whether or not you’re renting a car in Amsterdam with buses, trams and canal boats all available - or you could even hire some bikes for the day.
