Hertz Car Rental in Hull
You’ll find the city of Hull on the north bank of the Humber Estuary, 25 miles inland from the North Sea in Yorkshire. Just to the west of Hull is the two-mile Humber Bridge across the river – one of the longest single-span suspension bridges in the world. Rent a car in Hull and it’ll be well worth taking a drive across the bridge to enjoy the scenery - you’ll see the countryside on both sides of the estuary is extremely flat. If you drive west, on the A63 trunk road, you’ll soon join the M62 which links Hull to the rest of England’s motorway network.
Hull once had a reputation as merely a port and industrial centre but has been rejuvenated in recent decades. If you rent a car here you’ll be able to tour the revamped waterfront and old quarter of Hull, and visit some of the attractions nearby. Look out for the geographical oddity of Spurn Point at the mouth of the Humber, and the pretty historic market town of Beverley to the north. In Hull itself, the highlights include an acclaimed waterfront aquarium called The Deep, and the restored 18th-century home of anti-slavery campaigner William Wilberforce. And don’t miss the Arctic Corsair Museum Ship and Spurn Lightship alongside the waterfront.
